Account Manager

Based in Madison, WI

Are you a results-driven sales professional with a passion for technology, security, and relationship management? SGTS Inc. is seeking an Account Manager to develop and nurture long-term partnerships with government agencies, industrial clients, and contractors. You will be the primary point of contact for key accounts, working closely with internal teams to deliver innovative security and access control solutions. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-tech B2B sales environment and want to make a direct impact in a growing company, this role is for you!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Consultative Sales – Identify and assess client needs, positioning SGTS Inc. as a trusted security and technology partner.

  • Solution Selling – Work with Engineering, Field Operations, and other teams to craft tailored proposals, quotes, and bids that address client challenges.

  • Managing Project after Sale – Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring project completion as well as  customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Market & Industry Expertise – Educate clients on security, surveillance, and access control trends, helping them make informed decisions.

  • Sales Forecasting & Growth – Assist in developing sales forecasts, tracking opportunities, and driving revenue growth.

  • Trade Show & Event Representation – Represent SGTS Inc. at industry trade events, networking with potential clients and partners.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of B2B sales & account management – Proven success in technical sales, security, automation, or related industries.

  • Strong Consultative Selling Skills – Experience in solution-based sales and relationship management.

  • Technical Knowledge – Fluent understanding of security, surveillance, access control technologies, and industry trends.

  • Exceptional Communication & Analytical Skills – Ability to translate complex solutions into clear value propositions.

  • Self-Motivated & Organized – Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency – Comfortable using Word, Excel, CRM tools, and sales tracking software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Security, IT, or Industrial Sales – Knowledge of integrated security systems, software, and hardware solutions.

  • Experience Managing Government & Industrial Clients – Understanding of procurement processes for public sector and enterprise accounts.

  • CRM Software Experience – Prior use of HubSpot, Salesforce, or other customer relationship management tools.
