Security Systems Project Foreman

Are you an experienced field leader who thrives on overseeing installations from start to finish? SGTS Inc. is looking for a Security Systems Project Foreman to provide hands-on leadership for installation, service, and maintenance projects involving detention-grade locks, CCTV, intrusion detection, intercoms, and access control systems. You will lead a team of technicians, coordinate with other trades, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lead & Supervise Teams – Direct and mentor field technicians while managing daily project activities.

Installation & Service Management – Oversee testing, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of security and access control systems.

Project Coordination – Work with end-users, general contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless execution.

Daily Project Oversight – Provide progress reports, updates, and tactical guidance to the Project Manager.

Technical Problem Solving – Act as the primary point of contact for technical matters on-site, ensuring system performance and compliance.

Emergency On-Call Support – Serve periodic week-long on-call rotations to address urgent client service needs.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required Skills & Experience
-
Technical Leadership Experience – 1-3 years leading installation, service, or low voltage security system teams.

Low Voltage & Networking Knowledge – Strong understanding of servers, workstations, network infrastructure, 12-24V DC/AC systems, and relay logic.

Ability to Read & Interpret Technical Documents – Experience with blueprints, wiring diagrams, and device schedules.

Strong Communication & Coordination Skills – Demonstrated ability to work on a team and strong communication skills for training and providing guidance to field technicians.

Self-Starter & Problem Solver – Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.

Valid Driver’s License & Clean Record – Must be able to travel to client sites (50%).

Physical Stamina – Able to lift up to 45 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.

Security Clearance – Must pass government background checks as required by clients.

Preferred Qualifications

PLC & HMI Programming Experience – Knowledge of Wonderware, ladder logic, and automation systems is a plus.

Government & Correctional Facility Experience – Prior work in detention, industrial, or government security projects.

Associate’s Degree or Equivalent Experience – Education in electrical, mechanical, or security system design is highly desirable.
